Beauty Tips and Tricks 101

 Hello Everyone!

I’m here with another beauty tip for you. I wanted to share some of my skin care routine and preps before and after makeup. This is something I do to maintain healthy looking skin. After all that makeup, you still want your natural skin to pop as much as your highlight.
So follow me on the journey of more success…*Dj Khaled’s voice*

Steps before makeup:

Major key #1: Cleanse
This is major key because it helps to remove impurities as well as buildup of dirt in the pores. In order to cleanse, I love using black soap because it is super natural and its ingredients are nutritious for healthy skin. But you can always use the cleanser that works best for you.
Tip: Leave black soap or the cleanser that you’re comfortable with, for about 2-3 minutes for best results.

Major key #2 is Water….
Yes, water is a major key to success and also keeps the skin nourished both inside and out. Drinking lots of water, at least eight glasses a day keeps your skin moist and hydrated.
Tip: When washing your face, use lukewarm water and not hot water to prevent damage of the blood vessels on your skin.

Major key #3: Moisturize
Using a moisturizer is very important to maintain a flawless skin. Whether you have dry skin, combination skin or severe oily skin, you must always moisturize. For me, I love using Cetaphil because it is recommended by dermatologists (not really). Mainly because it is very good for the skin and it is what I use...

Steps after Makeup
Now instead of just washing my face to remove my makeup, I love using makeup remover wipes first. I like to do this before I wash my face because I am sure that I removed all my makeup.
There are different brands of makeup remover wipes but the two top ones I love are the Simple makeup remover wipes and the Neutrogena makeup wipes.
I have included the links of where you could get them.

Then I wash my face with the black soap and sometimes use it as a mask for about 2-3 minutes and wash my face.

Now a very major key…Instead of using just a moisturizer, I use castor oil and sometimes olive oil, depending on your personal preference on my face at night and that is what keeps the skin super soft and plus it is natural as well.

Many of these tips are very affordable, and plus the black soap is another way to save money as well. If you would like for me to do a DIY on how to make black soap, please leave a request below and I would definitely do that. Thank you all for reading.

XOXO

The "Signature Scarf" look

When the club is not going up on a Tuesday….

Hello Everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you my favorite style I rock almost every day….literally EVERY SINGLE DAY. I guess you could call it the “lazy” look. One thing I love about fashion is the ability to find your style in every trend. As Yves Saint Laurent said, “Fashions fade, style is eternal”. It is what stays with you forever and I have found many ways to rock my scarfs.

I hope you enjoy these looks and please leave comments if you would like to see a demo on how I tie my scarfs. Thank you all and have an awesome Tuesday.

Intro to my blog:

When I decided to start this blog, I asked myself two questions: what type of audience I wanted and what do I want my audience to gain from my posts? Now, I am a college student and many people understand the struggles of having money as a college student. However, I have found many ways to balance my budget of style and looks without giving a "cheap" look to it.

My blog is all about style by making the best of what you have and making it even better. It is also about beauty and I will add some beauty hacks every week for the busy students who have to wake up at five in the morning and leave in 30 minutes and also a few tricks on looking better than you feel.

Like anyone else, I have problems with procrastination but one thing I decided to do in 2016 is to try and be productive...lol. Ultimately, I want us to have fun and please feel free to add comments and responses to any of my blog posts. I would love to learn from you as much as you learn from me.
